About this festival
Isthmus Green Day is a half expo, half eco-celebration designed to help people in our community ? no matter what their circumstances ? become a little greener and to have fun doing it! The second annual event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center,
The inaugural Isthmus Green Day boasted approximately 3000 attendees, 124 booths and 16 sponsors, and we anticipate next year-s event will be bigger and better. The 2009 Isthmus Green Day will have more booths, more information and more fun for every attendee. The one-day event will also incorporate additional food and drink sampling and demonstrations, music, personal beauty and clothing information, building and redesign demonstrations and information, books, and alternative health demonstrations and information. Most importantly, it will still have a wide range of exhibits, information and fun, to appeal to all those interested in leading a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
There will also be educational breakout sessions, speakers, entertainment including winners of the WKOW Living Green Challenge, green activities for children at the Children-s Natural Play area, sponsored by The Madison-s Children-s Museum and Aldo Leopold Nature Center.
