About this festival

a designated “Signature Event” by both the Vermont and the New York State Quadricentennial Commissions. Event locations (all within 1/2 –mile of one another) are Chimney Point State Historic Site (VT), Crown Point State Historic Site (NY), the Samuel Cham-plain Memorial lighthouse at NYS D.E.C.’s Crown Point Reservation Campground, and NYS D.O.T.’s quarter-mile-long Lake Champlain Bridge. This special edition of an annual festival includes elements of U.S., Canadian, French, and Native American Indian national heritage, including music, crafts, food, dance, games, family activities, clothing, folk life, customs, etc. The Sept. 19 international Champlain Celebration will be the highlight of a season of Samuel Champlain 400th anniversary programs in the Lake Champlain region.
