The Womens Club of Ramsey is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring their 18th Annual Heirloom Tomato and Veggie Plant Sale on Saturday, May 15th. The sale will be held from 10 am to 3 pm in the parking lot of the Masonic Lodge on the corner of Lake Street-Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey. This annual sale is a fund raiser for the Womens Club of Ramsey and helps to raise money for their charitable work. There will be a large variety of Heirloom tomato plants offered as well as a great selection of herb, eggplant, squash, lettuce, cabbage, onion and cucumber plants. Also offered will be a multitude of different colored sweet and hot pepper varieties. There will be a large selection of heirloom and hybrid tomatoes available the day of the sale. The famous Ramapo, Moreton and Rutgers varieties of tomato plants will again be offered, as they have been longtime favorites of New Jersey home gardeners. Included in the many varieties offered are tomato plants which are suitable for patio and container gardening. The plants are grown by Catalpa Ridge Farm, located in Wantage, NJ.
