Suffolk Peanut Festival

The 39th anniversary of Virginia's premier festival features three stages of local and national entertainment, including country music artists Joe Nichols (8:15 pm Sat.) and Brothers Osborne (3:30 pm Sun.), a demolition derby (7 pm Fri.), the Virginia Festival of Flight aviation event and fly-in (Sat.), Motorsports Mud Jam (1 pm Sat.), fireworks (8 pm Sat.), Vintage Market Day home decor vendors (Sun.), a petting zoo, arts and crafts exhibits, commercial exhibits, contests including the Peanut Butter Sculpture Contest (2 pm Sat.), and Dreamland Amusements midway games and rides for all ages. Festival admission is $10 per day, $30 for a 4-day pass, and free for ages 6 and younger. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $25 on Thursday and $30 on Sunday. Ride tickets are also sold onsite. On Carload Night (Thursday), up to 8 occupants of a vehicle receive admission and ride wristbands for $40.
