Leo Vecchiarello, a lifelong Red Sox fan from Danvers, MA, got to live the dream thanks to Beso Del Sol sangria. On Tuesday night (September 13) he watched his first place Red Sox with 19 of his closest friends and family from a luxury box as they faced the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park. Leo was the winner of the recent ?Beso Del Sol: Box with the Sox? sweepstakes which he entered at Kappy-s in Peabody. Beso Del Sol is now featured in many concessions in Major League stadiums across the country after native Bostonian Bradd Levitan founded the company over two years ago. Since then it has grown to be the 11th largest ?boxed wine? in all of the United States, ranking among brands like Mondavi and Gallo. Leo's favorite current players are Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz, while his all-time favorites while growing up in Medford were Pedro Martinez and Dwight Evans. ?I hadn-t gone to Fenway in a couple of years now because I have been busy, but I used to try and go a couple of times a season,? said the home security specialist. ?To be honest, I never really ever thought that something like this could happen. I only experienced the excitement of being in a box at a Patriots game, so a Red Sox game is very special.? Like baseball, Leo has a great passion for hockey, as well. ?Yes, I am a diehard Bruins fan. I follow all the sports. Of course, I also love baseball.? Vecchiarello says that he first tried Beso Del Sol only four or five months ago, and was sold. ?A friend had mentioned it to me, and I bought it. I still keep a box in my house, and drink it a few times every month.? He says that he enjoys the sangria because ?it-s not too sweet, is very smooth, and it tastes very good.
