Tarpon Springs Oktoberfest

Tarpon Springs, FL: The Tarpon Springs Merchant-s Association will host the 4th Annual Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, October 7th (10:00 AM to 11pm), Saturday the 8th (10am to 11pm) and Sunday, October 9th (12am to 6pm). The event opens with the tapping of the first keg by the cities own Mayor. A German Biergarten Tent will be surrounded by German and American food and beverage vendors, continuous live German Oompah/contemporary music, wiener dog races, dancing a new kidz Zone and games for all ages. Bay Area celebrities will make regular toasts throughout the festival and visitors are encouraged to join in the games and contests that include best German costume, beer stein hoisting, best chicken dance, best beard contest and more. The festival will take place in downtown Tarpon Springs on Orange Street between Safford Avenue (Pinellas Bike Trail) and Alternate 19 - admission is complimentary.
