New York, June 9?WFAN and Sirius XM Radio host Ed Randall will host a panel and town hall discussion on Tommy John surgery on Tuesday night, June 28, at 7:00 pm at SVA Theater (333 West 23rd Street) ‎in New York City. The round table will feature former big league hurler Tommy John, for whom, of course, the surgery is named. All proceeds will benefit Randall's Fans for The Cure, a charity that promotes awareness and education about prostate cancer. Randall and John will be joined on the panel by experts in the pitching field including: Leo Mazzone, longtime Braves' pitching coach, named by ESPN as the #1 assistant coach in team sports history; Glenn Feisig, Ph.D, ASMI Research Director and USA Baseball; and Dr. Chris Ahmad, Attending Surgeon, NY-Presbyterian/Columbia Medical Center and Head Physician, New York Yankees. Tommy John surgery, pitching mechanics and pitch counts will be among the topics of discussion. Tickets are priced at $50 in advance, $75 at the door and can be purchased at fans4thecure.org. The four-time All-Star would go on to win 164 games after the arm surgery named after him in 1974, until he retired in 1989 at the age of 46 as a member of the New York Yankees.
