Howell Melon Festival

August 14, 2015 – August 16, 2015 Downtown Howell, MI

About this festival

For the past 54 years, downtown Howell has welcomed the annual Melon Festival. This three-day summer festival is a tribute to Howells agricultural heritage as it serves up the famed Howell melon, a delicious cantaloupe grown only in Howell. This year, we will reach a milestone as the festival reaches its 55th year making this the biggest one yet. Events will include the Howell Melon Run, Doc Mays Memorial Bike Ride, live entertainment, fresh-made melon ice cream, demonstrations, a carnival, train rides, a classic car show, a fine arts and wares juried show, plenty of shopping and delicious food.
