About this festival
Featuring Alt-Country, Americana, Indie Rock, World Music, Roots, Soul and Kids Music
July 10-12, 2015 in Lincoln Square
Summertime brings plenty of interesting options for festival entertainment in the city and the suburbs, with each event highlighting a neighborhood or various foods or music or wine tastings. But very rarely does one find an event that challenges the norm of typical fest food, tribute bands and carnival rides.
The Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (LSRCC) and Old Town School of Folk Music (OTSFM) present the 4th Annual Square Roots Craft Beer and Music Experience in Chicago-s Lincoln Square. Over 30,000 fans attend Square Roots each year to enjoy more than 40 local craft brews (including special batch and limited release taps), great food and the diverse genres of entertainment that only the Old Town School of Folk Music can provide.
Square Roots isn-t your typical food and music festival; we provide a multidimensional event that appeals to music, food and craft beer enthusiasts.
Live entertainment: 70 acts including music, jams, dance and family activities on 4 stages (2 indoor and 2 outdoor).
Craft Beer: More than 40 tasty selections (plus private batch and limited release special tastings) from the best local and regional craft breweries.
Cuisine: Eclectic fare from amazing Lincoln Square and Ravenswood restaurants.
Family Entertainment: Fun family activities, children-s entertainment, games and crafts.
Suggested donation $10 for Adults, $5 Seniors/kids, $20 for Families.
