The Fairfield University men's basketball team, undefeated at 2-0 in the MAAC, will try to ring in 2015 in style by remaining perfect in the conference when the Stags host Siena at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT, on Friday night, January 2.
Tipoff is at 7:00 PM.
Fairfield comes off an excruciating 61-59 overtime loss to Loyola Maryland on Sunday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, losing on a tip-in with less than a second left in the extra session. It was Fairfield's Barclays Center debut at part of the Brooklyn Hoops Winter Festival.
Bronx product and Fairfield's "Chairman of the Boards" Amadou Sidibe (Cardinal Hayes) carried the Stags on his broad shoulders with 13 boards and 13 points before fouling out of the contest.
Fairfield has defeated Manhattan and Quinnipiac in its two MAAC triumphs this season. The Stags are 4-8 overall. The Siena Saints are 4-7.
