Fasching

The Fasching season begins at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month. This gives the Fasching Guilds in Germany plenty of time to create elaborate masks and costumes for the big celebration on the last night of the season before the fasting of Lent begins. In Alpine Village of Helen, we also celebrate the last night of Fasching with a feast, music and merriment. So, gather your friends and pick a theme. Bring your costumes and table decorations, and help us celebrate Mardi Gras - German style. There will be a contest for best costume in the male and female category along with Best Overall Presentation. Music will be provided by Dan Witucki and Band.
