Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival

November 15, 2014 – November 16, 2014 Mission to Harrison Mills BC, Canada

About this festival

The Fraser Valley attracts the largest population of over-wintering bald eagles. The birds arrive to feast on the spawned salmon along the local rivers. In 2010 over 7,000 of the majestic birds were counted in the 3km estuary. The Festival celebrates this annual phenomenon with a two day family-friendly event. Several sites open to offer a variety of activities from Mission to Harrison Mills. Highlights include, jetboat eagle tours, walking tours, an indoor "Exhibitors Fair", live Raptors, expert speakers, land viewing sites, vendors, souvenirs, green businesses and organizations and delicious meal options. The festivities go rain or shine.
