St. Mary's County Oyster Festival

Home of the US National Oyster Shucking Contest - next step for the winner is the International competition in Galway Ireland! Also home to the National Oyster Cook-Off and its annually published cookbook. The festival celebrates the rich tradition of the Chesapeake Bay and the watermen who work it. Live music and all the oysters you can eat (pay as you go)!
