The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces presents: Call to Artists WHAT: Stone Mountain Village Blue GrassRoots Music & Arts Festival WHERE: Stone Mountain Village - 922 Main Street Stone Mountain, GA 30083 WHEN: March 29 ? 30, 2014 | Saturday 10a.m.-6p.m. / Sunday 11a.m.-6p.m. Our Story- Winner of the 2014 STS Top 20 Event (Southeastern Tourism Society), the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces in partnership with the City of Stone Mountain is proud to announce the return of the Fifth Annual Stone Mountain Bluegrass Festival & Artists Market on March 29-30, 2014 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. This two-day festival is the best recipe for a New Southern Tradition. Mixing bluegrass musicians and self-taught southern artists and artisans is a combination worth savoring! Our Goal- Nestled in the right on Main Street in Downtown Stone Mountain Visitors will enjoy folk and outsider art and crafts, live music, children-s area and local food and beverage concessions including ?gourmet? food trucks. This event will feature up to 100 artists and artisans that will brighten the historic charm of Stone Mountain Village. A small stage will showcase group Contra dances and bluegrass music, plus bluegrass ?street jams? will be featured throughout the festival. This event brings much needed attention to the restoration of this historic village. Best of all, it-s entirely free to attend! This event will benefit ?Main Street Stone Mountain? to support local initiatives such as the ?Arts Incubator? program and public art installations. Proceeds are also used as a scholarship fund for local artists administered by the Georgia Foundation for Public Spaces.
