International Ceramics Festival, Aberystwyth, Wales

Aberystwyth Arts Centre and North and South Wales Potters present the 12th International Ceramics Festival, a biennial event initiated in 1987. With its enduring popularity it is the UK-s leading festival of ceramics. The event offers working potters, artists, teachers, students, collectors and amateurs the chance to meet distinguished practitioners and enjoy the work of internationally known makers from many countries. In 2009 the festival will play host to demonstrators from all over the world including Nina Hole (Denmark), Reginas Heinz (UK), Daniel Allen (UK), Shozo Michikawa (Japan), Joan Nicolas Gerard (France), Don Reitz (USA) and Jeff Shapiro (USA)
