Humming Bird Hurrra

The Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah is a festival that celebrates the Ruby Throated Hummingbird. The Hurrah will be held in Bender Park and the Hummingbird Garden. The Children's Activities will be in the Minnesota New County School. HUMMINGBIRD BANDING DEMONSTRATIONS ? 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The location of the banding will be at the Hummingbird Garden in Henderson. Speakers: 9 a.m Josh Reinitze - Pollinators 10 a.m. Dolores Cansler - Monarchs 1 p.m. Donald Michell - Gardening For Hummingbirds 2:15 p.m. Heather Holm - Attracting Birds to Your Wildlife Garden with Native Plants Children's Activities - Hosted by Nature Neighbors and will include a coloring contest with prizes. Hummingbird Mall - We have many new vendors that will be selling some fun items related to a nature event. The Vagary will be our plant vendor. You can be a supporter by buying a $5 Hummingbird Button. The proceeds help fund the Hummingbird Hurrah and the button will give you a chance to win raffle prizes. The drawing is at Sunday, August 18, at 5 p.m. You do not have to be present to win.
