Fine Arts Chamber Players (FACP) continues the 33rd Annual Basically Beethoven Festival on July 14 with a music program featuring piano and strings. All concerts are FREE TO THE PUBLIC in a new location, the Dallas City Performance Hall in the Dallas Arts District at 2520 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201. Doors open at 2:00PM for the 2:30PM pre-concert Rising Star Recital featuring award-winning violinist Eleanor Dunbar with pianist Deborah Austin. At 3:00PM, Jing Wang, new Concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, joins Dallas Symphony cellist Nan Zhang and pianist Jeewon Lee in Tchaikovsky-s Trio in A minor, Op. 50. No reservations or tickets are required. Paid parking is available in surface lots/garages in the Dallas Arts District. Basically Beethoven Festival-s free classical chamber music concerts and recitals continue July 21 and 28. Fine Arts Chamber Players- Basically Beethoven Festival concerts are made possible in part by Ben E. Keith, the University of Texas at Arlington, Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, TACA, the Texas Commission on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, WFAA Channel 8 and WRR Classical 101.1FM. For over thirty years, FACP has presented free classical music programs for the enrichment of North Texas area residents. In addition to the free Basically Beethoven Festival, FACP presents the free Bancroft Family Concerts October through May at the Dallas Museum of Art. Each year, FACP-s educational outreach programs, Dream Collectors and Community Classics, provide over 500 free educational classes and performances in area public schools. Since its inception in 1981, FACP has served over 215,000 students and performed for over a half million residents of North Texas.
