52nd Annual Watermelon Festival

The fabulous watermelon celebration, presented by the Sunland-Tujunga Lions Club, returns for its 52nd year featuring watermelon carving demonstrations, watermelon recipe contests, watermelon eating contests, seed spitting contests, a wearable art contest, along with nightly prize drawings. The much anticipated coronation of the Watermelon Queen and her court is always a crowd pleaser, along with local bands and national touring acts for your listening pleasure. The bazaar marketplace, carnival rides, arcade games, watermelon-themed games and attractions and an array of festival food favorites and beverages make it fun for the whole family. This year the festival is pleased to announce its new location at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. Festival hours are Friday 5pm-10pm, Saturday 12pm-10pm and Sunday 12pm-10pm.
