About this festival

The 33nd Annual Basically Beethoven Festival is moving to the Dallas City Performance Hall in the Dallas Arts District for its free Sunday afternoon concerts on July 7, 14, 21 and 28th. These four free concerts of classical chamber music performed by Dallas/Fort Worth professional musicians are preceded by The Rising Star Recitals showcasing young virtuoso musicians with extraordinary talent. The Dallas City Performance hall is located at 2520 Flora Street, Dallas 75201. Families with children are welcome. The doors open at 2 p.m. for the 2:30 p.m. Rising Star Recitals and the feature performances begin at 3 p.m. All concerts are FREE TO THE PUBLIC. July 7 : Rising Star Recital by tenor Nicholas Garza plus Feature Performance by Imperial Brass. July 14: Rising Star Recital by violinist Eleanor Dunbar plus Feature Performance by violinist Jing Wang and Friends. July 21: Rising Star Recital by pianist Aaron Kurz plus Feature Performance by cellist Yuri Anshelevich with pianist Steven Harlos. July 28: Rising Star Recital clarinetist Franklin Jia plus Feature Performance by strings and bassoonist of the Hall Ensemble.
