10th Annual Heirloom Tomato and Veggie Plant Sale

May 18, 2013 Ramsey, NJ 07446

About this festival

The sale will again be held at the Masonic Lodge on the corner of Lake Street & Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey between 10 am - 4 pm. This annual sale is a fund raiser for the Woman-s Club of Ramsey and helps to raise money for their charitable work. There will be a large variety of Heirloom tomato plants offered as well as a limited offering of some Heritage Hybrid varieties, the most famous of which is the Ramapo Tomato. This variety was known as the ?true Jersey tomato? 30 years ago and has not been commercially available for years. This will be our third year growing the very popoular Ramapo tomato and we have received great feedback. Farmer Rich will also be offering the Moreton variety, which also was a favorite Jersey tomato and often referred to as the "4th of July" tomato. There will also be a great selection of herb, eggplant, squash, cucumber artichokes & pepper plants in addition to the tomato transplants. These are grown by Susan & Richard Sisti of Catalpa Ridge Farm and as of this time, they have more than 90 different varieties of heirloom tomato plants growing to be offered at the sale on May 18th.
