Pickin' in the Panhandle: WV State BBQ & Bluegrass Festival

On Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13 in the countryside of Back Creek Valley, West Virginia, bluegrass bands featured on Country Music Television and local bluegrass favorites will showcase their talents throughout the weekend. Pickin- and playin- competitions will allow others to show off their skills, with prizes for the best flat pickin, banjo, fiddle and band. On the BBQ side of the festival, professional and backyard BBQ chefs are invited to participate in contests featuring cash awards. Making this a true family event, Pickin- in the Panhandle will host a Kids Korner, complete with a moon bounce, face painting, and hot dog fixing contest.
