Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Festival and Camp

The 8th Annual Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Festival (Aug 16-18, 2013) will be held at Ness Creek near Big River, SK. The event is situated in a lovely little clearing in the boreal forest, just to the west of Prince Albert National Park (though you have to take the Big River highway to get there). While the grounds are better known as the home of the Ness Creek Music Festival, this particular weekend will be dedicated to a smaller and quieter audience. Camping and RVs are the norm, and food services will also be on site for the weekend.  This year-s lineup includes Whitetop Mountain Band (Virginia), The Carper Family (Texas), The Get Down Boys (California), Kluane Grass (AB), Honeysuckle Swing (SK) and much more. In keeping with bluegrass festival tradition, a music camp will also be held at the festival site August 12-16, 2013 with instructors from the mainstage line-up.
