About this festival

Held in Pine Mountain Club, Kern County, at the base of Mt. Pinos, which is the Chumash "Center of the World," this arts-cultural Festival is a social storytelling competition, including 10-minute short plays, videos, and songwriting. The themes are based upon the Chumash concept of maintaining balance with the universe and humankind. Dates: 8/17/12 ? 8/19/12. Friday night showcases Native American storytelling and digital video competition, with $200 grant prize. Playwright competition is held on Saturday, with $500 grant prize.
