HampdenFest

September 14, 2013 Baltimore, MD

About this festival

HampdenFest began as a local community event more than 20 years ago, but in recent years has evolved into an art and music festival that has drawn more than fifteen thousand visitors from the region for a single day of music, art, food and fun. For seekers of great food and an engaging atmosphere, HampdenFest offers an abundance of Baltimore-s best. Co-hosted by the Hampden Village Merchants Association and the Hampden Community Council, HampdenFest features 3 stages of national and local independent rock, folk, punk, & acoustic bands and more performing live throughout the day. The festival also features an activity area for kids, emerging artist exhibits, Toilet Races, the Great Baltimore Mac-Off cooking competition, eating contests, sideshows, as well as four blocks of art vendors, craft vendors, antiques, and other wares from a wide range of merchants and artists. Hampden is also home to hundreds of local independent businesses, which are consistently noted in various publications- ?Best Of? listings, and travel magazines throughout the country.
