About this festival
Professional and amateur teams cook and serve gumbo and compete for prizes, including "the best gumbo in Birmingham". Guests can sample all gumbo, enjoy live New Orleans-style jazz music, browse through theme-related vendor booths and enjoy children's activities. Proceeds benefit the 148 low-income seniors who live in Episcopal Place's affordable housing community.
