Traveling Memorial Wall "Reflection on Vietnam"

Stuart, Fl
About this festival
We are excited to announce the Martin County Vietnam Veterans, Chapter 1041 and the Veterans Council
of Martin County will be hosting ?Reflections on Vietnam" featuring "The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall"
at Halpatiokee Park in Stuart Florida on October 25, 2012 through October 28, 2012.
This four day event will begin Thursday and Friday focusing on educating school children by inviting them to visit the Wall and learn about Our American Servicemen and Women. Seminars will be given by Veterans to teach the history of the Vietnam War and other Veterans will be on hand to share their stories. We will also add entertainment from military bands and local school bands. The children will leave so excited that they
will invariably bring Mom and Dad back on Saturday for the Opening Ceremony and Entertainment. The most gratifying part of this is event is that we will be educating our children by showing them something they may otherwise never have a chance to see in Washington DC.
This will be a TERRIFIC opportunity for individuals and businesses to advertise to the community at a great special event. We would be honored to have you and/or your company involved in the event by showing support to the community and our American Heroes through sponsorship. Promotions have already begun in October 2011 with the "Salute to Our American Heroes" Concert Series, which includes one event per month leading up to October, 2012 when the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will arrive. By becoming involved as a sponsor of " Reflections on Vietnam " you will have exposure at the "Salute to Our American Heroes" concert series.
Profits from the event go to support programs for Veterans and their families including:
a. Assistance with rent, utilities and food until other resources can be located
b. Van (transportation) services to take Disabled and transportation disadvantaged, veterans
to the VA hospital in West Palm Beach for appointments
c. Homeless veterans programs such as Holiday Dinners, etc
All members of the Martin County Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1041 and the Veterans Council of Martin County are volunteers and receive no salaries or payment for their services.
The Martin County Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1041 is a 501 (c) (19) organization and all donations are deductible as provided in Section 170 of the IRS Tax Code; and the Veterans Council of Martin County is a 501 (c) (3) organization and all donations are deductible.
These events are dedicated to raising awareness and showing support to those who have served our Country to preserve the freedom and safety we all enjoy.
We want to keep the memory of those who lost their lives alive, recognize those who have served, along with those who are actively serving, by saying Thank You and tell them that they are not, nor will they ever be, forgotten. We will promote patriotism throughout the year with memorials, festivals and special events in their honor.
Our goal is to increase recognition and support to our Veterans from the Citizens and Businesses in our communities. We can only accomplish this with the support from Individuals and Companies such as yours to show our Veterans that we are actively working to bring honor and respect to all Veterans. We look forward to the day that any man or woman, who has served to protect the freedom of our USA, shall never experience a day of hunger or lack of shelter.
