Glendi International Food Festival

Dance to live music by Edessa and Helladelics at our 23rd annual Glendi International Food Festival. Glendi is Santa Rosa's premier ethnic food and dance event. Each year, on the third Saturday and Sunday of September, since 1989, the Parish has hosted this festival of foods from Russia, Romania, the Middle East, the Balkans, Greece and Eritrea. The food is all fresh and ethnically authentic.  Glendi is the Greek word for party and each year thousands visit us to eat, dance and relax. Voted Best Way to Eat Around the World by the Sonoma County Independent, you can taste foods from Middle Eastern, Eritrean, Russian, Greek, Balkan, Romanian, & American cultures. Enjoy beer from local microbreweries, an impressive selection of wines, sodas.... As it cools off in the evening, try our Greek, Eritrean or regular coffee with pastries from our bakery, including homemade baklava, and the new "Baklava Sundae." Dance to live Balkan music on both days, all day. The entertainment schedule includes dance troupes, dance lessons, and acapella choirs.  Along with great food and ongoing music, door prizes are drawn throughout each day. Enjoy a stroll through the gardens or take a church tour that explains the meaning behind the structure and iconography of an Orthodox Church and highlights the timeless frescoes that adorn the interior. Glendi is all about fun and family! In addition to the food, dancing, and tours we have a Children's Area with entertaining activities both days.
