About this festival
Our mission is to encourage local Missouri independent production companies, student groups & even hobbyists to create & submit short films. Then to bring creators together to network and form new groups for more projects. We are also pleased to showcase local and regional talent. We hope with community & film maker support, to add genre-s, venues & grow our festival each year,
Our beautiful location in Hermann, MO lends itself to all kinds of filmmaking with breathtaking locations & historic buildings for our venues, you may want to bring your camera & make a weekend out of it. See our sponsors page for links to popular Hermann hotels, B&B-s, restaurants & shops.
All entries must be between 2 and 20 minutes in length, & tilted toward a family audience. (think PG-13) As we are just getting started, any project that was completed after Jan 1, 2009 is eligible, if you don-t have one - MAKE one!
The First Annual Riverside Short Film and Video Festival invites all film makers; youth, student, independent & even hobbyist, to submit your entries for our film festival for the following Categories/Awards:
Drama - Comedy - Documentary
And special categories
? AG Award - short film with rural or small town life, or people themes. ? Best in Fest (audience vote) ? Youth (18 and under, provide proof of age) ? Senior - (55 and over) ? Best Director ? Best Performance by an actor/actress ? Honorable Mentions will also be acknowledged and showcased.

Early Bird Entry fees: 3/4 of entry fees go toward cash prizes
