The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival

May 19, 2009 – May 23, 2009 Eugene, OR

About this festival

The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival opens its sixth season on Tuesday evening, May 19, 2009 in the Soreng Theater of the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, Eugene, Oregon, USA. Over the next five days, audiences will experience some of the world-s best films about archaeology and related topics, ancient cultures, and the incredible world of indigenous peoples. This film competition is counterpart to the popular European archaeological film festivals upon which it is modeled, but is the only juried event in its genre in the Western Hemisphere. Audiences will see some of the world-s best heritage films and experience some of the many wonders of the human past. TAC Festival is produced annually by Archaeological Legacy Institute, and features an opening night Keynote Address by a leading authority on archaeology or related disciplines. TAC Festival runs through Saturday evening, May 23. Details, and short clips of films being presented, are available at www.archaeologychannel.org/.
