Kentucky Derby Hat Competition For 'Most Creative' and 'Most Fashionable' May 5 at Empire City

It's "hats off," or we should say, "hats on" to the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 5, at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway with close to $2,000 in prizes up for grabs in the casino's inaugural ?Run for the Roses Hat Competition.? First prizes of $500 for both the "most creative" and "most fashionable" hats will be selected by a panel of judges. Second prizes for each are $250, and third place winners check in with $100 apiece. Registration from 1-4 p.m., winners announced at 5 p.m.
