John A Lomax Texas Music Gathering

"Roots of Texas Music" follows the songs collected by Bosque Countian John Lomax, the songs the cowboys sang on the great cattle drives through Western Swing and the Texas Music Scene. Our honorary chairman is Bosque Countian Steven Fromholz who immortalized Kopperl with his "Texas Trilogy". Steven will perform along with a host of talented Texas singers/songwriters who have kept the spirit of the songs of the Texas way of life alive. Kids of all ages will be amazed by the incredible Skidboot, smartest cowdog in the world. Chuck wagon cook-off starts at 12 noon, music starts at 2:30, Western Swing dance starts at 9:30pm.
