About this festival
Morden Corn and Apple Festival (www.cornandapple.com)
fourth weekend in August
The Morden Corn and Apple Festival originated as a community celebration for Canada-s Centennial in 1967 and has grown into one of the largest street festivals in Manitoba, attracting over 60,000 people to enjoy three days of activity-packed fun. This year Morden will celebrate our 46th Annual Corn & Apple Festival. We invite you to enjoy FREE Admission; FREE Hot Buttered Corn-on-the-Cob; FREE Ice Cold Apple Cider; FREE Live Stage Entertainment on both the Main and Cottonwood Stages (including top name performers such as Little River Band (2011), Del Castillo (2010), Crystal Shawanda (2009)); FREE Bus Tours; and FREE Shuttle Bus Service. Arguably the largest Parade in Manitoba winds along Morden streets on Saturday morning and Wonder Shows Midway brings out the kid in us all. Other activities include the Sunday Gospel Stage, Old Tyme Dancing, a Vintage Car/Harley Davidson Show and Shine, Mud Racing and Truck/Tractor Pull and much more. There are plenty of crafts, street vendors and food for all to sample and buy. Kids will have a great time enjoying the activities and petting zoo designed especially for them. It-s family fun at its very best! For more information call 823-CORN (2676) or email [email protected].
