About this festival
Univision Radio presents the 30th annual Fiestas Patrias celebration held at Texas Stadium. The festival will feature four main stages, all showcasing live music from today's top Latin musicians.
Fiestas Patrias commemorates Mexico-s independence from Spain. The Mexican war of Independence movement was led by Mexican-born Spaniards, Afro-Mexicans and mesitzos who sought independence from Spain. The head figure and chief instigator of the movement was Miguel Hidalgo, the Creole parish priest of a small town of Delroes. The war was an armed conflict between the people of Mexico and Spanish colonial authorities, which started on September 16, 1810.
The Univision Radio Fiestas Patrias Festival is a great opportunity to showcase product and increase awareness at one of the biggest Hispanic events in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. The festive music, carnival rides, and pavilions make Fiestas Patrias an all-together family event.
