About this festival
The twenty fourth edition of Summer Motion is just around the corner and it should be another banner year for the event. Summer Motion 2012 will be June 30 through July 4, and as you know the event has grown every year and draws crowds from the entire tri-state region, and many other states on the east coast.
The first part of our festival begins June 30 in Ashland-s Central Park with two days of family entertainment. The festival continues the evening of July 2nd at the Ashland River Port with three days of inflatable rides, food court vendors, patriotic show, nationally known entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display on July 4th.
In 2010, the Southeast Tourism Society once again recognized Summer Motion as one of the top twenty festivals in the southeast.
So far we have booked Bachman Turner for July 2 and Eli Young Band for July 3.
