About this festival
March Mayhem ? The Crawl to Madness is an annual event for crazed masses rooting for their college hoop hopefuls in preparation of the tourney to the Big Dance. Our pub crawlers will ?get in the game? and don school colors, cheer their team on to victory and toast to their alma mater making the bracket.
Unlike typical Chicago neighborhood barhopping, Mayhem guests will enjoy a full day of entertainment and festivities at several of their favorite Southport Avenue pubs on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from noon to 7 pm.
Attendees will check in at Schubas at noon for our ?pre-game warm-up? with a live set from local folk/pop artists The Future Laureates, then enjoy mingling, interactive games and activities, beer and drink specials at each venue, and our ?Nothing but Net? giveaway (with sweet prizes and other goodies).
Participating venues: Schubas Tavern, Schoolyard Tavern, Southport Lanes & Billiards, Justin-s, Wheel House Wrigley, and Toons Bar & Grill.

March Mayhem is a pub crawl that promotes open and friendly camaraderie between all college basketball fans with a competitive spirit in anticipation of the NCAA Tournament, while highlighting the best neighborhood establishments on Southport in Lakeview.
