Lemon Fest

In the early 20th century, the site of today-s Pacific View Mall was a flourishing grove of lemon trees. And, Ventura County was renowned as the center of California-s important citrus industry. To honor this rich agricultural past, Pacific View Mall established the Lemon Fest in September 2000. Now in its eighth year, the Lemon Fest has grown significantly, drawing thousands of visitors from throughout the county. The eighth annual Lemon Fest will take place at Pacific View Mall in Ventura on September 6 and 7, 2008 from 10am - 6pm daily. This community event is free to the public and features two stages of live entertainment, daily lemon meringue pie eating and seed spitting contests with prizes for kids and adults, Star-s annual recipe contest, Lowe-s Activity tent, giant inflatable rides for the kids, reverse bungee ride, climbing wall, handmade arts and crafts for sale, corporate booth area, and delicious festival foods with an emphasis on lemons.
