JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at Empire City Casino

More than 2,500 are expected to participate in the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway on Sun., Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. - noon, supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. GM Bob Galterio will captain the "Cure for Cara" team, named for his daughter. The day will include games, a scavenger hunt and food. The fundraising goal for the JDRF Westchester chapter is to realize more than $690,000 for research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications.
