About this festival
The second annual Stars & Stripes Festival will be a three-day extravaganza held Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29, 2008 located in the heart of downtown Mount Clemens. The 2008 Stars & Stripes Festival will consist of world-class recording artists each night, as well as the hottest regional and local acts performing on three different stages throughout the downtown area. The entire festival will be absolutely FREE to the public and will encompass a wide variety of musical styles from Rock, R&B, Jazz and Country. Friday, June 27, the event will kick off with the spectacular annual fireworks display that traditionally draws over 70,000 people.
The streets of downtown Mount Clemens will be covered with over 20 food vendors cooking up a variety of American cuisine in the ?Roy O-Brien Ford Taste of America-. An additional 50 vendors will be showcasing the spirit of summer in Michigan. You will find dealers/manufacturers of automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, jet-skis, boats, barbeque grills, apparel, swimwear, sunglasses and everything else imaginable. The festival will also feature the ?Meijer Kid Zone-, ?Panera Bread Fine Art Village-, Teen Zone, Carnival Area, Salute to the Military and 'Michigan Lottery Classic Car & Boat Exhibit'.
