2011 Houston Heights Association Holiday Home Tour
Deck the Heights
WHEN:
Friday, December 2, 6:00 p.m. ? 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 3, 3:00 p.m. ? 9:00 p.m.
WHAT:
Six unique Houston Heights homes will go on tour, all decked out in their holiday
finery. Docents will be available to point out the rich history, architectural details and
unique holiday decorations of the Tour homes, each reflecting the rich architectural
tradition of this charming neighborhood that has a personality all its own.
WHERE:
Historic Houston Heights. Enjoy a stroll along the tree-lined streets and take in the
antiques and vintage clothing shops, art galleries, eclectic boutiques, coffee shops and
world-class restaurants.
Thought to be home to the highest concentration of professional artists in the state, the
Houston Heights attracts tourists year round who come to experience the unique offerings
of one of Houston-s oldest neighborhoods.
TICKETS:
Advance tickets will be available online at www.houstonheights.org and at various Houston Heights locations closer to event date. Tickets will also be available on tour days at the Heights Fire Station (12th and Yale) and at each Holiday Home Tour home.
Tickets are $20 in advance for all six homes or $25 on tour days. $5 per-home tickets can
also be purchased on tour days. Bundles of 10 tickets will be available online for $175.
TRANSPORTATION:
Free shuttle buses will operate during the tour on both Friday and Saturday. Patrons may board the buses at stops located at each home and at the Fire Station at 107 W. 12th Street at Yale.
PATRON PARTY:
This annual festivity will take place Thursday, December 1, with tickets at $150. The location is set for 205 Bayland, the home of Bill Baldwin and Joe Gonzalez.

PROCEEDS:
Proceeds from the Houston Heights Association Holiday Home Tour are used to maintain Marmion Park, Donovan Park, and the Heights Boulevard esplanade park. Among its many missions, the Houston Heights Association operates and maintains the historic Heights Fire Station at 12th and Yale as a community venue, supports local schools with grants, scholarships and projects, and fills hundreds of food baskets around the holidays for the needy.
