About this festival
Ballet Pro Musica Festival and The National Hispanic Cultural Center present the Festival's fifth summer season with an all-new program and the returns of its artistic partners: principals and soloists from National Ballet of Mexico, La Catrina Quartet and pianist Jacquelyn Helin.

FESTIVAL DESCRIPTION:
The only festival in America devoted exclusively to a new entertainment art form, Chamber Music Ballet, Ballet Pro Musica marries live chamber music performance with classical dance. The 2011 Festival presents an all-new program, "Faces of Love," featuring two World Premieres and the music of Ravel, Stravinsky and Schumann:
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
HEARTBEATS (World Premiere). Music: Maurice Ravel
(1875-1937), String Quartet in F Major. Choreography: Eloy Barragan.
RITE OF SPRING (First Albuquerque Presentation). Music: Igor
Stravinsky (1882-1971), Rite of Spring. Choreography: Alex Ossadnik.
TROUBLES IN PARADISE (World Premiere). Music: Robert
Schumann (1810-1865), Piano Quintet Opus 44. Choreography: Vladimir Angelov.
