About this festival
Two-day festival, Friday evening June 17, 6-10 pm, and all day Saturday, June 18, 10:00 am - 11:00 pm at EXPO New Mexico (State Fairgrounds, Gate 3/San Pedro, 300 San Pedro NE). 150+ non-stop events at 16 different venues on EXPO grounds, including Villa Hispana and Indian Village. Performances on 5 stages by national, regional, and local bands and singer/songwriters, including new sign-up stage for 30-min. segments. HEADLINERS/VILLA HISPANA MAIN STAGE: Jonathan Edwards Trio (folk rock), Dixie Bee-Liners (bluegrass/celtic), Kim & Reggie Harris (folk gospel), Antonia Apodaca with Bayou Seco (Northern New Mexico roots), Los Martinez (New Mexico mariachi), Carolyn Martin Trio (western swing), Goddess of Arno (Balkan Rock). OTHER STAGES: Atomic Grass, Holy Water and Whiskey, Coyote Crossing and more. OTHER EVENTS: Intrument, Dancing, and Singing Workshops; Instrument Petting Zoo; Youth Talent Showcase; Band Scramble; Storytelling; Arts & Crafts, Workshops and Demonstrations; Jams of all sorts for every level; Woody Guthrie-Weavers-Leadbelly sing-along; four evening dances (Friday: African/Latin/Roots Dance with Wagogo and Ceili Irish Dance with Bo y Yo; Saturday: Barn Dance with Michael Hearne and South by Southwest and annual FolkMADS contra dance).
