Dan will address the new bill in Florida?SB 1246, proposed by Senator Jim Norman of Tampa?which would outlaw the photographing of animals on farms and has unanimously passed the Senate Agriculture Committee. If it becomes law, this legislation would not only aid and abet criminal animal abuse on factory farms but also set a precedent for bills covering up cruelty to animals in other industries. Dan Mathews is the irreverent force behind the colorful crusades and star-studded stunts carried out by PETA, one of the most high-profile pressure groups of all time. After Dan showed them footage of beavers and foxes killed for their pelts, fashion designers like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger agreed to stop using fur. Dan pressured Gillette to halt product tests on animals after impersonating a janitor and wheeling a TV into the company-s cafeteria to show graphic undercover footage of the gruesome experiments.
