Mainely Grillin' & Chillin' BBQ Festival

The Mainely Grillin' & Chillin' BBQ Festival kicks off August 12th at 5pm with a benefit chili cookoff from 5pm to 8pm. Open August 13th & 14th 2011 from 10:03am to 5pm the BBQ festival is one of the largest fundraiser for the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum. Families can watch the teams compete in a Wild Side Challenge and a Peoples Choice Competition on Saturday while listening to live entertainment, watching the teams cook, strolling down artisans way and participating in cooking demos. Childrens activities include barrel tractor rides, horse drawn wagon rides, rock wall, and face painting. Tons of great bbq, Brew Garden and fun are also on tap for both days. Sunday is the official KCBS Competition for the teams where they compete in four categories and one team will be named Grand Champion. Visit www.raittfarmmuseum.org fmi Plenty of onsite free parking.
