Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul

Ivers is most noted as the original Riverdance fiddler. In addition, she was a founding member of Cherish the Ladies, another celebrated Irish musical ensemble. Ivers is considered the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world. She is a native New Yorker from the Bronx, and her childhood was rooted in Irish traditional music. Ivers is one of the most awarded persons ever to compete in the prestigious All-Ireland fiddle championships, and her success is unique in that she does not hail from the island.
