Started in 1994 by the City of Philadelphia
Grown over the years from 1,500 race participants to 20,000 capped-entry registrations in 2009. This year-s cap is 23,000
The Half Marathon was added in 2006
Rothman 8k race
The Marathon attracts over 75,000 spectators along the course.
In our continuing effort to become more environmentally conscious, we will
make a concerted effort to promote 100% on line registration in
2010.
