Mt Laurel, Ala. ? The Town of Mt Laurel (www.mtlaurel.com) is hosting its ninth annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October, 9th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a free event that's suitable for the whole family, including Fido! The festival will feature a farmer's market and craft fair with a huge variety of vendors, plus new home tour. Kids can enjoy an inflatable play area, face painting, plus hay rides throughout the community. Live music will be provided by Fiddlin' in the Parlor. Children of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween finest. Gift Certificates to the best toy store in town will be awarded to the top 3 costumes. Mt Laurel residents and business owners will be hosting their 5th annual Scarecrow Trail again during the festival. Attendees can view the unique scarecrow creations at the entrance to Mt Laurel and in front of the local stores Much to the delight of young guests, Cinderella will be visiting with little ones in front of the Mt Laurel fire station from 11-2 and the Alabama Ghostbusters will make special appearances throughout the day for fun photo opportunities. Visitors can eat at one of the five local restaurants or grab a bite from one of the many festival concession stands. The Harvest Festival will take place rain or shine, and promises to be a fun day the entire family can enjoy together.
