Performances on Friday & Saturday, August 13 & 14 at 8 pm and Sunday, August 15 at 2 pm.
Ballet Pro Musica Festival returns for its fourth summer
season to present its unique marriage of live ballet performance to live chamber music. Principals and soloists from the dynamic National Ballet of Mexico (Compania Nacional de Danza), direct from Mexico
City, are joined by the brilliant young musicians of La Catrina String Quartet and acclaimed pianist Jacquelyn Helin to perform three World Premieres: pieces choreographed to the music of Franz Josef Haydn and Argentinian composers Astor Piazzolla and Alberto Ginastera.
Other special features this year: Master Classes for advanced students taught by Compa?ía Nacional de Danza-s Balletmistress, Sra. Natasha Lagunes, on Thursday and Friday, August 12 and 13 at 10:00 am; a free performance for children on Friday, August 13 at 10 am, and open rehearsals for ballet and music students.
