About this festival
One of the last true links to the great folk traditions of this country, with over 40 albums under his belt, Ramblin' Jack Elliott is considered one of the country's legendary foundations of folk music. He has enjoyed a fifty-year career as a country crooner, and over a half century ago, he became Woody Guthrie's sidekick and leading interpreter, and later a hero to Bob Dylan and the early '60s folk scene. Ramblin- was a founding member of Dylan-s Rolling Thunder tour. At 77, Elliott is a Grammy recipient for Best Traditional Folk Album, a four time Grammy nominee, and a recipient of the National Medal of the Arts. Ramblin- is a 2010 Grammy recipient for ?A Stranger Here? for Best Traditional Blues Album.
