Over the River and Through the Woods

Family ties are explored in comedic fashion in Joe DiPietro-s ?Over the River and Through the Woods,? presented by Rockville Little Theatre at the Arts Barn in Gaithersburg. The show runs from March 5 through 21, 2010, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Admission is $15, $13 for City of Gaithersburg residents. This show is suitable for all ages. Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey, with parents who have retired and moved to Florida. But family ties are strong as he sees both sets of grandparents for dinner every Sunday. Then he gets offered the job he-s been waiting for, but it will take him across the country and away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. The news doesn-t sit well, and thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best to keep him in town, including bringing to dinner the lovely ? and single ? Caitlin O-Hare as bait.
