Native American Day: Education About Preservation of Sites and Culture
About this festival
We are holding our first event for this group on March 13th to educate the public on preservation and the importance of Native American prehistoric culture in Alabama. The city of Jacksonville is excited that we are having this event on the square, and the event is going to be fun for families and children. This is a free event. We want to embrace the public to make them understand the reasons we need to stop the destruction that we see today, and education is just the key to end that destruction in the future. All interested parties (vendors, drummers, dancers, culture keepers, etc...) may send an e-mail to the administrators of the Movement to Preserve Native American Sacred Sites and Culture in Alabama Web site. We are really excited about this great opportunity, and we know that we can all make a difference for the future. This event is free to the public.
